The MedCallWorkComp application serves as a comprehensive platform for managing workflow and delivering real-time tele-emergent medical triage for patients experiencing accidents, injuries, or illnesses. The system continuously monitors a nationwide network of physicians specializing in tele-emergency care, ensuring prompt availability of qualified medical professionals.

All participating physicians are board certified in Emergency Medicine. Eligible plan participants are required to download the MedCallWorkComp application onto their smartphones to access services.

Participants can reach the Call Communication Centre via a toll-free number or through the mobile application at any time they suspect the need for medical assessment. Communication options include voice calls and video consultations, providing flexibility based on patient needs.

Responses are managed by trained medical assistance staff who identify the caller's state of residence to verify physician licensure in that jurisdiction. The coordinator then dispatches a text notification to an available physician, alerting them of the patient’s presence on the line. Once initial relevant patient information is obtained, the system creates a virtual consultation room linking the patient and physician.

During the session, physicians may request the patient to upload photographs via the application’s image upload feature, which self-deletes after transfer. Additionally, physicians can initiate a video session as needed to enhance remote assessment accuracy.

The application must operate on a stable and efficient platform to ensure seamless coordination of real-time care during urgent medical events, maintaining high standards of responsiveness and security throughout every interaction.
